Amazon’s self-driving EV successfully carries passengers on public roads, commercial launch ‘in sight’

The Zoox Robotaxi, Amazon’s autonomous car project, seemingly has plans to start commercial operations in the near future.

Amazon's autonomous car division, Zoox, recently completed a milestone of a fully autonomous public road drive, with passengers, on its ‘Robotaxi'. The startup, backed and owned by the e-commerce and cloud major, completed the landmark achievement on February 11th, and claimed that this was one of the first attempts in the world when a fully autonomous vehicle ferried passengers as part of a commercial service, from one destination to another.
