An Analyst suggests that the upcoming Apple iPhone 14 series will cost USD 100 higher than the iPhone 13 series.
According to the analyst, the production and component costs are increasing for all consumer electronics manufacturers, and Apple may decide to charge customers more for the iPhone 14 series to cover the additional costs. So, the Apple iPhone 14 buyers should be prepared for the price hike.
"We believe a $100 price increase is coming for the iPhone 14. Prices have been increasing across the whole supply chain, and Cupertino needs to pass these costs to the consumer on this release," said the analyst.
The iPhone 14 could cost USD 100 (around Rs 8,000) more than the iPhone 13. However, Apple product values in India are counted as USD 1, equal to Rs 100, because of high import duties, GST fees, and other factors. Therefore, the USD 100 hike is expected to be around Rs 10,000 in India for the iPhone 14 models.
The iPhone 13 price in India starts at Rs 79,990 for the base variant. If the report is believed, the iPhone 14 could cost about Rs 90,000 in India. However, the company might stick with the current price range to sell more iPhones. The iPhone 14 Pro models might cost more, given that the handsets will have new chipsets and other upgrades.
