New Apple Vision Pro ad shows the visionOS UI and spatial computing uses of the device

Sticking to the tradition, Apple's ad for its new product also goes by the tagline, "Hello Apple Vision Pro". The video starts with a person putting on the Apple Vision Pro glasses. We get both the representation of how the device looks from within as well as from the outside.

• The exterior look primarily includes faux eyes on the visage for the viewers, light-seal cushions, and the strap. Even though there are 2 micro-OLED panels here on the front, for the wearer, it appears as one wide single screen. 
• The Vision Pro user is seen emphasising an app by keenly looking at it. Pinching gestures with the fingers opens the app. It is also the action to pick calls or to select or choose to do something in the interface. 
• In addition to this, we also see a user turning the on-device Digital Crown to control the immersive feel. 
• The other things we notice are how life-like the real-time holographic appearance of the other party on the video call or how getting closer to a panorama makes the experience more immersive for a user. 

Apple Vision Pro price, release date, and concerns

The video description reads, "Apple Vision Pro is here. Now, digital content blends seamlessly with your physical space. You can do the things you love in ways never before possible." Well, Apple's spatial computing glasses will be available to people in the US starting February 2nd at $3,499 (about Rs 2,90,679.43). The rest of the world will have to wait for now, but not for long.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims between 160-180,000 Apple Vision Pro headsets have been pre-ordered. That's far behind the projected 400,000 sales by Apple in the first year. Meanwhile, the company has to ensure there are sufficient apps on the platform. As per Appfigures estimates, the visionOS will boot with around 150 apps only and there are no signs of a killer app at launch. Apple will therefore try to entice third-party developers to make apps for the Vision Pro. This will be an uphill task considering the work and cost involved in making apps for the larger canvas.
