Nothing’s sub-brand, CMF, is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India. Earlier this month, we exclusively learned about the design, colour options, and price of the CMF Phone (1). And now, a new leak surfaced online, revealing its specifications ahead of the launch.
Moreover, the leak suggests that the CMF Phone (1) will come with similar hardware specifications as the Nothing Phone (2a). The leak comes from tipster @realMlgmXyysd on X/Twitter. Let’s look at everything we know about the CMF Phone (1) so far.
CMF Phone (1) specifications tipped
- Display: The CMF Phone (1) will flaunt a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the Phone (2a) has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
- Processor: At the heart of the device will be a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. The Phone (2a) also draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor paired with Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. So, you can expect similar performance from either device.
- RAM/Storage: The device could pack 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 2.2 storage with support for a MicroSD card. With the Phone (2a), you can get up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
- Camera: While the leaked render of the CMF Phone (1) showcased a single rear camera, the tipster says the device will feature a dual rear camera setup: 50MP primary and another camera in a vertical arrangement. It will feature a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The Phone (2a) has a dual rear camera setup: a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens. However, it has a better 32MP selfie snapper than the upcoming CMF Phone (1) ‘s rumored 16MP shooter.
- Battery and charging: Like the Phone (2a), the CMF Phone (1) will also get its fuel from a 5,000mAh battery. However, it will only support 33W charging, which is slightly slower than the 45W of the phone (2a).
- OS: The device will boot Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6 out of the box, the same as the Phone (2a).
- Other features: The CMF Phone (1) will feature a replaceable plastic back cover, Nothing Lock with exclusive add-ons, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6. However, you won’t get NFC support or Glphy lights that the Phone (2a) offers.
It’s worth mentioning that the leaker says these are engineering specs and aren’t guaranteed to be completely accurate, as they are subject to change.
CMF Phone (1) design, price in India
As previously mentioned, the CMF Phone (1) will feature a plain plastic body. It will come in four shades: blue, green, black, and Indian-exclusive orange. It will be available at a starting price of Rs 12,000 in India. It is tipped to launch in July.
