"The Meizu 16Xs is the only scheduled launch on May 30"
Qualcomm has revealed a number of new mobile processors in the 6xx series recently. This includes the Snapdragon 675, Snapdragon 670, and the Snapdragon 665 SoC. The first of the lot is the one we've seen a lot, in smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Vivo V15 Pro, and a few others. Now, it seems we will soon see the first-ever handset with the Snapdragon 665, according to a tipster on Twitter. There was no information shared about the actual identity of the handset and brand. He did, however, say that the handset is launching on May 30. Based on that, we can make a good guess.
As for other features, the Meizu 16Xs will also be the brand's first triple camera handset, as per images from TENAA. Apart from the processor, there are a host of upgrades on the handset that might pit it against the Redmi Note 7 in China. The handset is expected to have a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution. The phone has also been tipped to feature a much bigger 4,000mAh battery, and the triple camera setup might include a 48MP Sony sensor, along with two other sensors.
