With Independence Day nearing, Flipkart has started preparations for its next major sale event, the Freedom Sale 2026. Set to kick off on August 8th, the e-commerce platform has already started teasing a few deals that’ll be up for grabs during the sale period. While Flipkart Plus and VIP members will have access to the sale 24 hours earlier, customers will also be able to avail bank offers and discounts across categories to further sweeten the deal.

Flipkart Freedom Sale dates, bank offers
While there is currently no information on how many days the Freedom Sale will last, Flipkart has officially teased that the sale is set to begin on Saturday, August 8. Users with a Flipkart Plus or VIP membership can grab the deals on offer starting August 7th itself. This is a great perk Flipkart offers to its Plus or VIP subscribers that directly benefits them.
Coming to the bank offers, which can be applied on top of the discounted sale prices across all products, SBI credit card holders are eligible for a 10 percent instant discount on non-EMI and EMI transactions. The teaser page also reveals extra exchange value, meaning Flipkart will offer an additional discount when exchanging your old products for a new one.
On the other hand, Amazon is also hosting a sale dedicated to Independence Day called Great Freedom Sale starting August 7th. It’ll be worth checking out exclusive smartphone deals from there if you wish to purchase a OnePlus, iQOO, Realme Narzo, or Galaxy M smartphone.
Flipkart Freedom Sale deals to expect
While Flipkart hasn’t revealed the deal prices yet, the event’s webpage displays the iPhone 17 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 as the top upcoming deals. Meaning, buyers can expect good discounts on these smartphones. The Galaxy S25, in particular, went as low as Rs 50,000 just last week, so it’ll be worth seeing whether the Freedom Sale can match that price.
