E-commerce giant Flipkart is set to introduce same-day delivery services for a variety of products, catering to customers in both metro and non-metro cities. As per the platform, this move is expected to benefit several customers across the country as it will likely enhance the speed of product delivery across diverse categories at no extra cost.
Flipkart same-day delivery service details
- Flipkart has confirmed that it is introducing a same-day delivery programme in India starting February 2024.
- The same programme will reach customers nationwide in the upcoming months at no extra cost.
- Customers can enjoy same-day delivery for a variety of categories, including essentials, mobiles, fashion, beauty products, lifestyle items, books, home appliances, and electronics.
- According to the e-commerce platform, products ordered by 1 pm will be delivered to users before 12 midnight.
With a monthly delivery volume exceeding 120 million packages, Flipkart said it has strategically invested in a robust supply chain and multiple fulfilment centres, ensuring nationwide coverage, even in remote areas. As per the company, recent investments have been directed toward enhancing technological capabilities for more efficient sortation and throughput from fulfilment centres.

On the other hand, the platform recently conducted its first sale of the year in January, featuring substantial discounts on various products. Products across categories like Fashion, TVs, and Electronics were presented with discounts ranging from 50 to 80 percent. During the sale, appliances were offered with discounts of up to 75 percent, while Flipkart Originals saw reductions of up to 80 percent.
