Fossil has refreshed the lineup of its wearables with a new Fossil Sport smartwatch. The major highlights of the watch are Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and the newly redesigned Google Wear OS to take care of the software side of things. The Fossil Sport smartwatch is also touted as the ideal companion for all health and activity enthusiasts, with features such as heart rate sensor and Google Fit's Move Minutes and Heart Points, which are based on health recommendations from the World Health Organization and the American Heart Association.
The new Fossil watch also boasts extended battery life, a new battery saving mode, enhanced ambient mode, integrated heart rate, Bluetooth pairing, and GPS capabilities. The Fossil Sport comes in two sizes, 41mm and 43mm, and is said to come with pre-installed apps such as Spotify and 'peace of mind and safety app' Noonlight. As for the battery, the wearable is rated to last up a day on a single charge and with battery saver watch mode, additional two days. It's backed by fast charging tech to quickly juice up the device.
As for the price, the Fossil Sport smartwatch starts from Rs 17,990. The watch is accompanied by "endless" interchangeable strap options. "The new nylon and aluminum case make this the lightest smartwatch to date and sits alongside 28 new silicone straps to give the wearer endless colorful combinations," the company said in a press release. The watch will go for sale in the country starting June 2019 on Fossil's e-store, retail stores, and other partners across the country.
