God of War Ragnarok had released last year with a lot of critical acclaim and praise from fans. Developer Santa Monica Studio has rolled out a new update for the game, which brings New Game Plus mode. New Game Plus serves as a great way to revisit the game to experience new gameplay options and earn new loot. This incentivizes players to dive back into God of War Ragnarok and replay the entire experience. The developer has shared details about what changes New Game Plus brings and what kind of rewards you can earn.

God of War Ragnarok players can access New Game Plus after finishing the main story. New Game Plus offers new armour, Enchantments, and a higher level cap. After you start New Game Plus, you will get Armor of the Black Bear in the opening scene. Other armour you will earn include Ares Armor, Spartan Armor, Zeus Armor, as well as the Spartan Apsis shield. Besides these, you can now upgrade all of your Level 9 equipment to Plus versions, making them even more powerful. Upgrading your equipment will also get you Gilded Coins that can be used to buy Engraving and Badge Enhancements. New Enhancements that come with New Game Plus include Berserker Soul Drops and Burdens. Berserker Soul Drops boosts your stats, while Burdens offers negative perks to make the game even more challenging.
God of War Ragnarok New Game Plus brings some new features like a larger Sparring Arena in Nilfheim, where you can choose any companion character from the game including Thor, Freya, Brok, Ingrid, Thrud, and Angrboda. Besides these, there is a Black and White Render Mode that lets you play the game in black and white, just like Ghost of Tsushima’s Kurosawa Mode.
