Google Nest Mini India launched in India, priced at Rs 4,499

“The Google Nest Mini is available exclusively via Flipkart and the official Google India e-store”

Google on Monday launched its Nest Mini smart speaker in India as the latest device in its smart home lineup in India. To recall, the audio product was first unveiled by the company just last month. The new Nest Mini smart speaker comes as a successor to the Google Home Mini, which was launched back in 2017. The search giant claims that the new smart speaker is “smarter and faster than the original.” Apart from this, the Nest Mini functions better as a regular speaker as well, thanks to the fact that it is touted to have two times stronger bass than the Google Home Mini thanks to a custom driver added by the Mountain View company.

Google Nest Mini price in India

Google Nest Mini has already been made available via Flipkart in India starting today. The smart speaker has been priced by the company at Rs 4,499. The Google Nest Mini is also available through various offline retailers that can be found on Google’s online store as well.

Google Nest Mini features and specifications

Google Nest Mini offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and features support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac. The new device from Google comes with a groove for wall mounting and also ships with a 1.5 meters long cable. The speaker uses 15W power supply and comes in Charcoal and Chalk colour options. Notably, from the Google Home Mini, the four embedded indicator lights and microphone mute switch have been retained but the new smart speaker doesn’t come with a 3.5mm stereo jack.

In order to improve the response time and performance, Google has included a dedicated machine learning chip with one TeraOPS of processing power on the Nest Mini. This helped the company to move some Google Assistant experiences from its data centres directly onto the device. “Nest Mini can now learn your most common commands and process them on the device for much faster response time,” the brand said in its release.
