Fresh details about the Google Pixel 11 series have surfaced ahead of its expected debut, revealing larger base storage, updated battery capacities and revised pricing for the UK market. The latest leak also suggests that while Google’s upcoming flagship phones will generally cost more than their predecessors, but some variants could technically become cheaper when compared with last year’s equivalent storage configurations.
The Pixel 11 lineup is expected to include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google has already confirmed that it will unveil the Pixel 11 series at its Made by Google event on August 12th.
Pricing and storage adjustments
According to a retailer leak shared by Roland Quandt, all three Pixel 11 models will reportedly start with 256GB of storage, doubling the base capacity offered by previous generations.
The leaked UK pricing suggests the Pixel 11 (256GB) will cost GBP 879, down from GBP 899 for the equivalent Pixel 10 variant. The Pixel 11 Pro (256GB) is tipped at GBP 1,079, compared with GBP 1,099 for its predecessor, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL (256GB) could increase to GBP 1,279 from GBP 1,199 for last year’s model.
Earlier this month, Google reportedly confirmed that higher Pixel prices are being driven by an unprecedented increase in memory costs caused by the ongoing global RAM shortage. The company said it had absorbed rising component costs for as long as possible and plans to offset the impact through trade-in offers, promotional discounts and bundled services such as Google One.
Google hasn’t announced India pricing yet. However, if global price increases are reflected locally, the Pixel 11 lineup could launch above the Pixel 10 series, which started at Rs 79,999.
Key upgrades and leaked specs
The latest leak points to a 4,985mAh battery on the Pixel 11, 4,850mAh on the Pixel 11 Pro and 5,115mAh on the Pixel 11 Pro XL. While the base and XL models are expected to receive larger batteries, the Pro variant could see a slight reduction from the Pixel 10 Pro’s 4,870mAh capacity.
Rather than a major design overhaul, the Pixel 11 series is expected to focus on under-the-hood upgrades. The phones are tipped to feature Google’s next-generation Tensor G6 chipset, reportedly built on TSMC’s 2nm process for improved efficiency and better thermal performance. They are also expected to switch from Samsung Exynos modems to a MediaTek M90 modem, which could improve network reception and reduce battery drain.
Other reported additions include a new Pixel Glow RGB lighting system integrated into the camera bar. Leaks also suggest the Pro models could move from 16GB to 12GB of RAM, with Google reportedly relying on deeper Android 17 memory optimisations to maintain performance.
The move to 256GB base storage is a welcome upgrade for buyers, particularly as smartphone apps and AI features continue to consume more storage. However, with prices expected to remain at the premium end of the market, buyers primarily seeking the best performance may still want to compare the Pixel 11 lineup with rivals.
