Google Pixel 6a: should you buy?

The Google Pixel 6a will be on sale for the first time but the question that needs to be asked is whether you should buy it? Well, yes and no. Yes if you are a fan of Google’s version of stock Android skin and timely updates, including the Android version and security patch. There’s nothing like a clean software experience that is completely ad-free and a range of software features that enhance the user experience.

However, on the flip side, the price of the Pixel 6a changes everything. Had it been priced somewhere around the Rs 35,000 mark, it would have been the go-to suggestion but at Rs 43,999 there are other better alternatives. For the asking price, the 60Hz display simply doesn’t feel justified and the charging speed limited to 18W is also a big downgrade. The cameras on the Pixel phones are a benchmark but the competition is slowly catching up and can produce similar results. Alternatives that can be considered include the Realme GT 2, iQOO 9, Nothing Phone (1), and OnePlus 10R.
