Google Pixel 8 series is set to debut globally on October 4th and will be available in India as well. The lineup is set to include two models: Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. These phones will come as successors to the Pixel 7 series from last year. The latest Pixel models are expected to arrive with a Tensor G3 chipset and feature up to triple camera sensors on the back. Ahead of the launch event, here's a quick roundup of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro's expected price, specifications, design, and more.

Google Pixel 8 series launch date, pre-order date in India

The 'Made by Google' event is scheduled for October 4th at 7:30 PM IST. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube and on the Google Store website. 

The upcoming Pixel phones will be up for pre-orders in India on October 5th, which is just a day after the phones debuted globally. The new Pixel models will be available exclusively via Flipkart.

Google Pixel 8 series expected price in India

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro prices in India are unknown at the moment but global costs are recently leaked online. The Pixel 8 is tipped to start at $699 (roughly around Rs 58,097), while the Pixel 8 Pro could start at $899 (roughly around Rs 74,720).

Google Pixel 8 series design

• The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro share an almost identical design, except for the overall size and number of cameras on the rear.
• Both phones have a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, symmetrical bezels and flat edges.
• The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge.
• The back of the phone is where the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro differ.
• The Pixel 8 series has a horizontal module similar to previous generation models. The standard Pixel houses a dual camera, while the Pro has triple camera sensors and an LED flash.
• The Pixel 8 Pro could feature a temperature sensor, as per rumours.

Google Pixel 8 series colours

The Pixel 8 is expected to be available in Obsidian, Hazel and Rose colour options, while the Pixel 8 Pro will come in Obsidian, Porcelain and Bay colours.
