The Google I/O 2024 conference is set to happen in May. Besides Android 15 and new software improvements, the Google Pixel 8a is also expected to make an appearance on the stage. Google Pixel 8a live image details

The Google Pixel 8a live images show the complete design of the mid-range offering.
The images reiterate previous leaks of Pixel 8a adapting rounded design language introduced with the Pixel 8 series.

One key difference is the matte finish on the back panel, compared to a glossy finish on the Pixel 7a.
The display shows significant bezels around the screen, slightly more than the standard Pixel 8 series.
We see the volume rocker and power button on the right edge and the buttons look tactile.
Moving to the back, you see the familiar horizontal strap protruding above the back panel. This houses dual cameras and an LED flash.
We see the Pixel 8a in black colour but there could be other options at launch.

Pixel 8a specifications (expected)

The Google Pixel 8a is tipped to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a first in the Pixel A-series.
The handset is believed to be powered by the Tensor G3 chipset, similar to the Pixel 8 series but slightly underclocked.
The handset is tipped to come in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB storage.
The Google Pixel 8a is likely to run on Android 14 out-of-the-box.
The phone is expected to feature a 64MP primary camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. There could be a 13MP shooter on the front for selfies.
The pixel phone is expected to pack a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.

The Google Pixel 8a is tipped to debut in May, at the Google I/O 2024 event on May 14th. The handset is expected to be priced between $500 and $550, which makes it slightly costlier than previous Pixel A-series models.
