The renowned technology brand, Honor is making a comeback to the Indian smartphone space with the launch of Honor 90 5G. Announced way back in May 2023 for the global market, the handset is being brought to the country by HTech, which now holds the rights to sell Honor smartphones in India.

Honor 90 launch date in India, availability
The Honor 90 is all set to launch in India on September 14th at 12:30 PM, as officially confirmed by the company. The handset will be made available online on Amazon at launch, as indicated by the product landing page which went live several days back.
The company could live stream the launch event on its YouTube channel, “HTECH” at the designated date and time where it may also share some details of its roadmap and future product lineups.
Honor 90 expected price
The Honor 90 is tipped to be priced somewhere around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 in India. Besides that, the smartphone is confirmed to launch in two storage variants of 8GB RAM with 256GB ROM and 12GB RAM with 512GB ROM. This was confirmed by HTECH’s head, Madhav Sheth during an interview on YouTube.

- Display: The Honor 90 will feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K quad curved AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits of peak brightness. The device is confirmed to come with 3840 PWM Dimming technology that prevents eye strain caused by the constant flickering of the display.
- Processor: The handset is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. A cooling system is also in tow to assist the SoC during extensive workloads.
- RAM and storage: Honor 90 is confirmed to come in two storage variants of 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB.
- Software: The smartphone will run on MagicOS 7.1 which is Honor’s custom skin based on Android 13. Apart from that, all the essential Google apps such as Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, etc. will be present on the device.
- Rear cameras: As confirmed via the brand’s social media pages, Honor 90 will pack in a 200MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2MP depth lens on the rear.
- Front camera: The small punch-hole cutout on the phone’s display will carry a 50MP selfie shooter.
- Battery: The phone will come with a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
- Connectivity: 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.

As per Honor’s official website, the Honor 90 is designed by taking inspiration from jewellery. While many smartphones feature large dual-camera cutout modules, the Honor 90 stands out by having distinct protruding elements around the camera lens.
Besides that, the silver colour variant of the phone has grid-like patterns on the rear panel while the green variant has a matte finish. As per a leak, Honor 90 will debut in colour shades of black, silver, and green.
