If the past reports are to be believed, Huawei is working on a budget smartphone called Y5 Prime (2018). The upcoming smartphone was first spotted in a leaked render shared by the noted tipster Evan Blass. The handset then popped up on the Chinese certification website - 3C, hinting at the imminent launch. Now, the Y5 Prime (2018) has made an appearance on TENAA, with renders and crucial specs details.
On TENAA, the smartphone has been spotted with two model numbers - DRA-AL00 and DRA-TL00. These models are speculated to be of the same smartphone but different network variants. The upcoming phone is speculated to come with a 5.45-inch display, bearing a screen resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels. The resolution hints at the presence of an 18:9 aspect ratio. In the performance department, the phone is expected to be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. Further, the processor is tipped to be backed by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The onboard storage is expected to be expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
In the camera department, the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) is speculated to come with a 13-megapixel shooter on the rear panel, accompanied by an LED flash. For selfies and video calling, there is expected to be a 5-megapixel camera on the front panel. Out of the box, the smartphone is tipped to run the last generation Android 8.1 Oreo. For power requirement, the handset is speculated to have a 2,920mAh battery under the rear panel. Moreover, as we have already seen in the past leaks, the phone can be seen missing a fingerprint scanner. As per the TENAA listing, the handset weighs 142g and measures 146.5mm x 70.9mm x 8.3mm.
