Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming iPhone 14-series.
From what we know so far, the iPhone 14-series will feature four models this year, namely - iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max—the old iPhone scheme of standard and Plus variant with the addition of Pro units. Apple will no longer manufacture a Mini-unit after the iPhone 13 Mini, so the iPhone SE series is the compact iPhone counterpart of the Mini. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro have a 6.1-inch display, and the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max have a 6.7-inch display.
Apple plans to launch the iPhone 14 with the same price tag as the iPhone 13, but the iPhone 14 Max will cost you an extra USD 100(Approx. Rs 8,000). The iPhone 14 Pro with extra features will set you back USD 1,099 (Approx. Rs 84,000).
Apple plans to launch two versions of the A16 chip on the iPhone 14-series. The iPhone 14 and 14 Max will pack an A16 Bionic chip that is said to be the same that powers the iPhone 13 Pro models. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini has Apple A15 Bionic SoC with 4-cores, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro has an A15 Bionic with 5-cores. Something similar will be seen with the iPhone 14-series.
The A15 chip is already the most powerful chipset currently available in the market, as the iPhone 11's A13 out beats the lasted Samsung flagship, Galaxy S22 Ultra. So the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will expectedly crush its Android smartphone competitors with the A16 Bionic chipset. The A16 Pro of the Pro models will come with extra GPU core power and faster RAM support. Although, we'll have to wait for the iPhones to launch to know how they perform in the real world.
