iPhone 16 Pro display, camera details
To recall, the iPhone 15 Pro Max comes with a tetraprism lens that allows for a 5X optical zoom and up to 25X digital zoom through its 12MP sensor. This setup is considerably larger than the 3X telephoto module which reportedly led Apple to offer it only for the 6.7-inch model.
A new report from reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that even the smaller iPhone 16 Pro will feature a tetraprism lens. He did not specify the amount of optical zoom we should expect but it ideally should be 5X or higher. This is not the first time he’s mentioned this, as a previous Medium post from back in May also suggested that the size of the smaller Pro device will be larger than the outgoing model, allowing for a periscope zoom system.
Display analyst Ross Young earlier tipped that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively. The loyalists who enjoy having Pro features in a smaller form factor might not be as happy anymore but considering the growing tech in these phones, it makes sense that Apple has chosen to increase the sizes of these devices and match their Android counterparts.
iPhone 15 series, Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and AirPods Pro 2nd Generation with USB-C case will be going on sale this Friday in global markets, including India.
