Apple is likely planning to release the iPhone SE 4 next year. While the company is yet to reveal details about the iPhone SE 4, a new report suggests it will feature an OLED display by the Chinese company BOE (Jingdongfang). The report also mentioned that Apple considered bids from three suppliers for the phone, including Samsung, BOE, and Tianma. Here are the expected details of the upcoming iPhone SE 4.

iPhone SE 4 display details surface online

Citing sources, a report from ZDNet Korea suggests that BOE has secured the contract to produce OLED displays for the rumoured iPhone SE 4.
BOE is expected to supply the majority of OLED displays for the iPhone SE 4 after Samsung withdrew from the bidding process due to concerns about profitability.
Samsung Display offered to sell the panels for the iPhone SE 4 at $30 (about Rs 2,500) each, while Chinese companies proposed prices ranging from $35 to $40 (approx Rs 2,900 to Rs 3,300) per panel.
However, the US-based tech giant reportedly asked for an even lower price of $25 (around Rs 2,000) per panel.
The iPhone SE 4 is also rumoured to feature a design similar to the iPhone 14 and include support for Face ID.
As per the report, the shipments of the iPhone SE 4 are expected to reach approximately 15 million units.
It is worth mentioning that Apple hasn’t revealed any details about the matter so far.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to come with a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 48MP primary camera. Based on recent CAD renders, it’s expected to have a notch size similar to the iPhone 13 or 14 series, accommodating the Face ID module.

The device’s dimensions are speculated to be 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm. Additionally, the phone might feature an Action Button and a USB-C port, while its battery capacity is anticipated to be the same as the iPhone 14.

In related news, the tech giant has recently announced that World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 will take place at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, from June 10th to June 14th. The event is open to all developers, and attendance is free.

Developers will have the opportunity to interact with Apple experts and gain insights into new tools, frameworks, and features. Additionally, an in-person experience session will be on June 10th, allowing attendees to meet with Apple team members and participate in special activities.
