Update: The iQOO 15 India launch date has been officially revealed. It will debut in India on November 26th.
Original story follows..
iQOO is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone in India, and all signs point to a debut later this November. The company’s India CEO, Nipun Marya, recently dropped a teaser on X (formerly Twitter), hinting that the iQOO 15 will arrive next month. In the post, a spinning wheel showed shifting dates under the month of “11,” with a brief pause at November 27th, strongly suggesting that as the likely launch date. The upcoming device will succeed last year’s iQOO 13, bringing a major hardware leap and a refreshed software experience.
The iQOO 13 was launched in India early December last year, so the brand could be bringing its successor on November 27th. This time, Android OEMs have pushed their flagship launches early, hence the shift in the launch date. Some examples include the Xiaomi 17 series, which debuted last month, and the Vivo X300 series that launched earlier this month. Since the iQOO 15 has already made its debut in China, we already have a clear idea of what to expect from its Indian variant, which shouldn’t vary too much in terms of hardware.

Besides the phone, OriginOS 6 has also been teased, confirming the latest software for the iQOO 15. The new interface introduces what iQOO calls Dynamic Glow, delivering a more fluid visual experience across the home screen, lock screen, and system apps. The UI draws inspiration from Apple’s Liquid Glass design, featuring circular icons and layered blur effects. Another highlight is the Atomic Island, an interactive notification area similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island. It can show live alerts, control media playback, or manage tools like the stopwatch blending functionality with visual appeal.
Not just iQOO but other brands like Xiaomi and OnePlus have also introduced their new custom UIs with heavy inspiration from iOS 26. But this doesn’t seem too bad for Android users as they’ll get to experience a similar UI but with more customisation.

What to expect from iQOO 15
While iQOO has yet to confirm the Indian model’s full specifications, it’s expected to share most of its hardware with the Chinese variant. The iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED 2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 2600 nits brightness in HBM mode, and 6000 nits peak brightness. It’s a bit bigger than the iQOO 13’s 6.82-inch display and also brighter.
Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. The phone ships with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage in China. This is the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm promised to deliver hardware and software gains. The iQOO 13 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite was one of the highest-performing smartphones in its segment, so we expect a similar experience or even better with its successor.
iQOO has equipped the phone with the industry’s largest 8000mm single-layer VC cooling system, which should result in better heat dissipation for longer gaming sessions or any intensive usage. The iQOO 15 is also claimed to deliver 2K + 144 FPS gaming support with its in-house Q3 gaming chip. With this setup, the iQOO 15 is poised to be a leading choice for power users and gamers alike.
For imaging, the device packs a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, up to 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front sits a 32MP selfie camera. With the iQOO 15, the brand has offered a periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, which was missing on the iQOO 13. Even so, the iQOO 13 delivered reliable and versatile photography for its price. With the upgrade, you can expect improved quality and more detailed distant shots, making it ideal for photography enthusiasts.
Powering it all is a 7,000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. This is a major upgrade over the iQOO 13’s 6,000mAh battery, but charging has been reduced from 120W to 100W. However, the difference shouldn’t matter much as 100W is already one of the fastest charging speeds. The iQOO 13 comfortably lasted for a day even with heavy usage, so the iQOO 15 should be more than reliable with a bigger battery. We’ll still have to see how well-optimised the phone is to handle real-world usage.
With the expected launch date of November 27th, we still have a month to go for the iQOO 15’s debut in India. Given iQOO’s track record of aligning its India lineup with the Chinese models, it’s likely that the Indian variant will carry the same display, processor, and camera setup, making it one of the most powerful flagships in its segment.
The iQOO 13 stood out for its impressive hardware and also its pricing, as it was one of the most affordable flagships at Rs 54,999 in India. If iQOO continues with a similar pricing, then it should definitely have an edge over rival flagships. This makes the iQOO 15 one phone to wait for, especially if you’re in the market for a performance-focused Android flagship.
