Mi 11 Lite has been launched in India officially as the latest Mi 11-series phone. Unlike in the global markets, Xiaomi has only brought the 4G variant to the country and it ships with the Snapdragon 732G SoC. However, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain has announced that the company will be willing to launch the Mi 11 5G in India “whenever 5G network rolls out” or if there is enough demand for the device. Considering 5G services are not available in India, with full-fledged trials yet to begin, it’s pretty hard to point to an exact Mi 11 Lite 5G launch timeline. Compared to Realme, OnePlus, Samsung brands that already have multiple affordable 5G models in their portfolio, Xiaomi is lacking behind in the race as it just offers the Mi 10i with 5G connectivity in the sub Rs 25,000 segment.
Mi 11 Lite 5G specifications
The Mi 11 Lite 5G flaunts a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The 5G-version of the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC coupled with Adreno 642 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box and packs a 4,250mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite has a triple-camera setup, that includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP tele-macro sensor. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G/4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
