“Given how the previous generation Mi MIX phones launched during September/October, fans can hope the MIX 4 to go official around the same time”
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 flagship smartphone has been in the news for quite some time. The company confirmed the flagship wouldn’t be unveiled in August, thereby continuing the mystery surrounding its launch. Given how the previous generation MIX phones launched during September/ October, fans can hope the Mi MIX 4 to go official around the same time. Now, answering a users question on whether the next-gen Xiaomi MIX model would be faster than Mi 9, Xiaomi Product Director, Wang Teng said, “so it seems – the charging is worth looking forward to.” Mi 9 is the world’s first smartphone to come with 20W fast wireless charging support, and now according to the company’s executive comments, the upcoming Mi MIX 4 might just surpass it.
Furthermore, Mi MIX 4 is also likely to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and an edge-to-edge design. It could also come with 5G support. Earlier rumours suggest the Mi MIX 4 is expected to feature a periscope lens camera technology that is said to produce lossless images of subjects placed at a distance. While it isn’t confirmed, the flagship is also said to pack a camera that is better than the Samsung GW1 64MP sensor. It could come with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and a 100W fast-charging support.
Moreover, rumours suggest the Mi MIX 4 might come with UFS 3.1 storage with up to 16GB RAM. It is said to feature a 64MP primary camera, pack a QHD+ AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, and refresh rate higher than 60Hz. The flagship is also touted to come with IP68 rating for water- and dust-resistance. Since we are still months away from the official launch, things might change at any turn.
