Microsoft Surface Headphones with aptX support spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification

Microsoft could soon launch a new pair of Surface Headphones with a lower battery life and aptX support

Highlights

A new pair of Microsoft Surface Headphones could be on the way as it has been discovered on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. To recall, the original Microsoft Surface Headphones were unveiled back in October 2018 and they offered a unique rotating dial to adjust noise cancellation. Microsoft is seemingly working on the successor, presumably called the Surface Headphone 2. The headphones with model number 1919 have appeared on the Bluetooth website, revealing some interesting details. Firstly, the new Microsoft Surface Headphones will come with Bluetooth 5.0, which is an upgrade over the original headphones that support Bluetooth 4.2. The listing also mentions Qualcomm AptX support, which is missing on the previous Microsoft headphones.
