Motorola has launched the Moto Edge 30 Ultra phone globally alongside the Moto Edge 30 Fusion and Moto Edge 30 Neo. The handset is a rebrand of the Motorola X30 Pro that debuted in China last month. It is the world’s first commercially available phone with a large 200MP Samsung primary camera on the rear. The handset comes with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, symmetrically curved edges that blend into the thin sandblasted aluminium frame, triple camera sensors on the back and an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.

Separately, noted leakster Mukul Sharma has exclusively tipped the Moto Edge 30 Ultra India launch date to be September 13th. Originally, Motorola had scheduled an event in India this week but it appears to have been postponed to a later date. Motorola is yet to officially confirm the launch date.

Moto Edge 30 Ultra flaunts a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1250nits brightness, DC Dimming, 1500Hz instant touch sampling rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Corning Gorilla 5 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 12-based MyUX 4.0 skin out of the box.

Moving to optics, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra will have triple cameras, with a 200MP primary Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor, f/1.95 aperture, OIS, and LED flash. The primary camera is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto 2x sensor. There is a 60MP snapper at the front for selfies and video chats.

The Moto Edge 30 Ultra houses a 4,500mAh battery with 125W GaN fast charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and a triple microphone array. The phone has an IP52 rating for splash resistance. It packs a 4610mAh battery with 125W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
