Nothing OS 2.5.4 features for Phone (2a)

The new features and changes on the Phone 2a (review) with the Nothing OS 2.5.4 update can be classified into 3 categories:

Camera

• The bokeh effect in the portrait mode gets better.
• The colour accuracy and saturation have been improved.
• The brightness and colour tone in Ultra XDR photos have been optimised.
• The colour on the main camera and the ultrawide snapper are fine-tuned to look comparable.
• The overall camera performance has been enhanced.

Animations 

• The previously apparent animation stutter while opening or exiting apps is now fixed.
• The animation of the recorder widget is smoother now.
• The flickering problem that was present while opening apps from the lockscreen have been treated.
• Speaking of animation, the performance of the phone while playing games like BGMI has been optimised.

Bug-fixes

• The bug that caused the abnormal display of homescreen and lockscreen wallpapers has been fixed.
• The Quick Settings will now show the Wi-Fi and mobile data information properly.
• The screen shouldn't go black during incoming calls after this update. 
• The system should function more stable now.

How to download Nothing OS 2.5.4 on Phone (2a)

Before you install the update, back up the device data so that you can roll back if you decide that later on. Also, ensure the device is on the Nothing OS 2.5.3 already and it has enough power to complete the update process.

Step 1: Open Nothing Phone (2a)‘s Settings

Step 2: Go to System and then click on System Update.

Step 3: The device will check for the new version and download it.

Step 4: Once downloaded, install it. The system may reboot during this process. 

Once it finally boots to the lockscreen, unlock the screen and you should have the Nothing OS 2.5.4 on Nothing Phone (2a).
