Meanwhile, a new software update for the Nothing Phone (2a) has also been rolled out. It adds new improvements and widgets to the device.

- Nothing OS 2.5.3 update for the Phone (2a) has been rolled out. This update comes with improved camera performance, smoother operation, and handy new widgets.
- In the camera department, you get support for Ultra XDR, enhanced camera app performance, and multiple improvements across HDR, colour saturation and front camera clarity.
- In terms of performance upgrades, you get enhanced background app performance, improved touchscreen experience, new haptic level settings, and overall refinements to user interface and animations.
- New widgets for the Camera, Recorder and Battery have been added to the Nothing Phone (2a) with this update.

Nothing made the announcement on X saying that it has already sold over 60,000 units within the first hour of going on sale. The first sale in India took place today via Flipkart, Croma, Vijay Sales and other leading outlets. The brand is offering the Nothing Phone (2a) base model at an effective price of Rs 19,999 with bank and exchange deals.
Nothing Phone (2a) is priced at Rs 23,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, Rs 25,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, and Rs 27,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant.

Nothing Phone (2a) has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection layered on top. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
In the photography department, you get a 50MP primary camera with OIS + EIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera at the back and a 32MP front camera for selfies. Nothing Phone (2a) also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
