Nothing launched its first-ever smartphone on Tuesday. The Nothing Phone (1) is made of recycled aluminium and comes with a unique rear design that includes a transparent glass panel and a Glyph Interface. The LED lights can light up as per the user’s preference for calls, app notifications, charging status, and more. The Nothing Phone (1) price in India starts from Rs 32,999 and the phone will be available to purchase via Flipkart and Nothing’s official website starting July 21st.

The Nothing Phone (1) also features the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and Nothing OS based on Android 12. The company claims the phone will receive three years of Android updates and four years of security updates. It also has a dedicated game mode for an immersive gameplay experience.

Nothing Phone (1) is available in two colour options: Black and White. It will go on sale on July 21st at 7:00 PM IST via Flipkart and Nothing’s official website. Nothing Phone (1) comes in three variants: 8GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, and 12GB RAM/256GB storage units.

The Nothing Phone (1) base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 32,999, followed by the 8GB RAM/256GB storage unit at Rs 35,999, and 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant at Rs 38,999 in India. As a part of the introductory offer, the company offers a Rs 1,000 discount on Nothing Phone (1).

Buyers who pre-ordered the handset will get a Rs 2,000 instant discount on purchasing the Nothing Phone (1) with HDFC bank cards. Users can grab a Nothing Power 45W charger at Rs 2,500, and the pre-order buyers can get it at Rs 1,500. The Nothing Ear (1) will be available at Rs 6,999, and for pre-order buyers, it will be Rs 5,999.

Nothing Phone (1) flaunts a 6.55-inch 10-bit OLED panel that supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2400×1080 pixel resolution, HDR10+, 402PPI, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. The Phone (1)’s heart is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, and an Adreno 642L GPU takes care of graphic needs. It packs up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The Nothing Phone (1) has a dual rear camera setup with OIS and EIS image stabilisation. The camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor ƒ/1.88 primary sensor and 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor ƒ/2.2 ultra-wide lens. A 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor ƒ/2.45 camera at the front takes care of selfies and video calling requirements. The handset packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging. The company claims that the fast charger can charge the Phone (1) up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

The Nothing Phone (1) connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 and 802.11 a/b/g/, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G, in-display fingerprint reader, facial recognition, dual stereo speakers, and IP53 rating.
