Nothing OS 2.0.2a comes days after the brand rolled out the Nothing OS 2.02 update with several improvements.
Nothing Phone (2) users will see the update notification automatically but if you don't, you can try to check manually by heading to Settings > System > System Update. The update should be rolled out to all users. As said, the OS 2.0.2a comes after OS 2.0.2, which introduced a range of new features and improvements. Some of the notable additions include the ability to shut down apps when the device reaches its temperature limit, faster HDR processing speed, reworked haptic feedback strength when typing and more.
Separately, Nothing and its CEO, Carl Pei on Twitter confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) would get the Nothing OS 2.0 update next week, but an exact date is not mentioned. Nothing promised the Phone (1) would get three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. The handset already received one major Android update i.e. Android 13. The Nothing OS 2 will bring a major overhaul to the UI, including more interactive widgets and others.
