Carl Pei-lead tech startup Nothing has announced the ‘CMF by Nothing’ brand as a major expansion to the company’s business portfolio. This announcement comes as a part of the Nothing Q2 Community Update. The brand will launch a new range of products “that makes better design more accessible to a wider group of consumers.”

- CMF by Nothing will launch its first smartwatch and earbuds later this year.
- To recall, Nothing filed for a trademark ‘CMF by Nothing’ a couple of months ago. However, at that time there wasn’t any information about the product or the category.
- Recently, a smartwatch under ‘CMF by Nothing’ was spotted on the BIS certification with the model number D395. This suggests the CMF branded watch will be launched in India.
- While it’s not confirmed, there are chances the CMF products will have more broad designs that should attract more users. We should learn more details very soon.
“Nothing is dedicated to making tech fun again and has proven its abilities to break boundaries in industrial design. As such, the company believes it can make good design more democratic and impact more people. Understanding that different consumers want different things, CMF by Nothing will serve to bridge the gap in the value segment with better quality products that offer clean and timeless designs,” said Nothing in a statement.
Nothing has made a name by offering products with a unique transparent design language, be it in smartphones or TWS earbuds. Both the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2) feature a transparent back design and Glyph LED lights that add to the premium-ness while also making them stand out among the regular designs. With the ‘CMF by Nothing,’ you can expect a similar design philosophy but with more affordable prices for a wider market.
