Comparing Nothing Phone (2) and Google Pixel 7a: tell us which phone wins

The Nothing Phone (2) came out a few weeks ago and is on sale in India with a starting price of Rs 44,999. Yes, the phone is more expensive than its predecessor as it brings several improvements under the hood and the design is more refined. This new pricing means the Phone (2) takes on a new breed of rivals. We have already compared the phone with the iQOO Neo 7 Pro and OnePlus 11R. Now, we take a look at how the phone holds up against the Google Pixel 7a. And we want to know your thoughts on this one!

Design: In terms of design language, the Nothing Phone (2) brings a unique transparent back while the Pixel 7a has a familiar Pixel design.

Display: The Google Pixel 7a is a compact phone with a 6.1-inch OLED 90Hz display, while the Nothing Phone (2) sports a larger 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display.

Chipset: Both the Nothing Phone (2) and Google Pixel 7a offer flagship-grade processors. The former gets the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC while the latter is powered by Google’s own Tensor G2 chip.

Cameras: Google Pixel phones are known for their impressive cameras and the Pixel 7a doesn’t disappoint with its 64MP + 13MP dual camera system combined with Google’s image processing expertise. The Phone (2) also offers a solid 50MP + 50MP dual camera system.

Battery: The Phone (2) touts a 4,700mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, while the Pixel 7a gets a smaller 4,385mAh battery with a slower 18W charging speed. This should be an easy one!

Software: Both Google and Nothing believe in offering a clean and stock Android experience. Nothing, however, adds a thin layer of NothingOS on top that brings some unique themes and features for Glyph Interface, among other things.
