Nothing rolled out a software update for Phone (2a) just last week. The brand has now rolled out another software update that brings camera and general improvements, and bug fixes as well. This is the Nothing OS 2.5.4.a update and it’s available to download and install on the Nothing Phone (2a).
Nothing OS 2.5.4.a update: what’s new
- Nothing OS 2.5.4.a update comes with camera improvements, bug fixes and other improvements in general.
- Camera: The overall camera performance has been improved with this update. Portrait mode, camera saturation and tone have been improved as well.
- General improvements: This update also improves optimised compatibility with certain changing adaptors, and enhances the stability and compatibility of Bluetooth connections.
- Bug fixes: Some of the bug fixes that this software update brings include an issue where “Hey Google” wasn’t working in some situations. It also fixes a bug that causes fingerprint unlock to fail.
- Nothing OS 2.5.4.a update also removes the occasional sound of static noise in the receiver and optimises the overall stability of the system.

Nothing seems to be very quick with rolling out software updates for the Phone (2a). Even the first software update, Nothing OS 2.5.3 was rolled out within just a week of its launch. The last one came just a week back, and this one brought new features for the device. It adds new camera features like improvement in bokeh effect, colour accuracy and saturation.
Animations on the Nothing Phone (2a) have also been improved with the software update, and you get a couple of bug fixes as well.
