[Update] OnePlus has slashed the price of its high-end flagship offering OnePlus 7T Pro from last year in India. The handset, with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, will now retail in the country at Rs 47,999 instead of Rs 53,999. OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro prices in India have been revealed and they are surprisingly competitive compared to their US prices. The OnePlus 8 comes with a starting price of Rs 41,999 while the OnePlus 8 Pro starts at 54,999. While the India prices are aggressive, these are still some of the most premium OnePlus phones that the company has launched in the country. The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be available for sale via, OnePlus’ official website, and offline channels in May 2020 across India. However, these are not the only OnePlus phones that are available in the market. The company will still be selling the more affordable OnePlus 7T series, and you can also find older models like the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, and 6T on selling on platforms like Amazon. Here’s a look at the prices of all OnePlus models and their variants that are currently selling in India.

The official OnePlus India website currently lists a total of five smartphones. The OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro, 7T Pro McLaren Edition, 8 and 8 Pro. These are officially the only models that OnePlus is selling on its website. However, you can still find OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 6T retailing on It is unknown whether these phones have officially been discontinued, but they are available for buying, once the lockdown has ended. The OnePlus 7 is listed on the e-commerce platform at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. This is the same price as the OnePlus 7T’s base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. The OnePlus 7 Pro is currently listed as unavailable, most likely due to the coronavirus lockdown. The OnePlus 6T is listed at Rs 29,999 for the 6GB RAM option, while the 8GB RAM option is retailing at Rs 27,999. 

OnePlus 8 series specifications

Talking about the latest OnePlus 8 series, the phones run on Android 10-based OxygenOS out of the box and are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. They both come with punch-hole displays, in-display fingerprint scanner, and high refresh rate. The vanilla OnePlus 8 sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate while the OnePlus 8 Pro gets a 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. 

For photography, the OnePlus 8 Pro features quad rear cameras with 48MP Sony IMX689 primary sensor, a 48MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 5MP colour filter. Both the phones get a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies. The OnePlus 8, on the other hand, gets a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. There is a 16MP front camera on both the phones for selfies and video calling.

The OnePlus 8 houses a 4,300mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging, while the Pro model gets a 4,510mAh battery and supports 30W fast wired and wireless charging. The OnePlus 8 comes in Glacial Green, Interstellar Glow, and Onyx Black, while The OnePlus 8 Pro is offered in Glacial Green, Onyx Black and Ultramarine Blue colours.
