OnePlus 8T price leaked via Amazon listing; will be cheaper than OnePlus 8

  • The OnePlus 8T price will be at €599 (approx Rs 51,700) for the 8GB + 128GB variant
  • The 12GB + 256GB configuration of the smartphone will be priced at €699 (roughly Rs 60,000)
  • This means the two variants will be €50 (about Rs 4,300) cheaper than the respective OnePlus 8 variants

OnePlus 8T launch date was confirmed as October 14th just yesterday, following which a leak claimed to spill the beans on the handset’s pricing. However, the leak has now been contradicted by an Amazon Germany listing, which reveals that the OnePlus 8T price will be €693 (about Rs 59,800) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Prominent tipster Ishan Agarwal, who shared the Amazon listing with 91mobiles, says the price of this variant will be €699 (around Rs 60,000) in other European markets. The OnePlus 8T price for the 8GB + 128GB variant will be €599 (approx Rs 51,700). This means the OnePlus 8T price will actually be €50 (roughly Rs 4,300) lower than that of its predecessor, the OnePlus 8. And as mentioned earlier, the listing contradicts the leaked €699 (around Rs 60,000) and €799 (roughly Rs 69,000) prices of the 8GB and 12GB variants, respectively.

OnePlus 8T specifications

The listing also revealed the complete OnePlus 8T specifications sheet, which is largely in line with a recent Pricebaba leak. These include a 4,500mAh battery and support for 65W Warp fast-charging solution. The tech is claimed to juice up the device for a full day’s usage in just 15 minutes. Additionally, the OnePlus 8T will pack a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The handset will come 5G connectivity and will rock Snapdragon 865 SoC instead of Snapdragon 865+ chipset. This will be paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard; an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is also coming.

In optics, the OnePlus 8T is said to come with a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary sensor with OIS, 16MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro sensor, and 2MP monochrome sensor. Up front, the phone will feature a 16MP shooter in the punch-hole setup for selfies and video chats. The phone will run OxygenOS 11, most likely atop Android 11, out of the box. Although it has not been revealed yet, the OnePlus 8T will have an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

Previously, renders of OnePlus 8T were published online, suggesting that the design of the upcoming model will be slightly different from that of its predecessor. The phone is said to come with a punch-hole display, but the camera setup at the back will reportedly be housed in a rectangular camera module, much like the latest Samsung smartphones. The power button and alert slider will be in their usual place on the left spine, while the volume rocker will be on the right. The bottom edge of the phone will house ejectable SIM card tray, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill.
