OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro to come with Snapdragon 888 SoC and 12GB RAM
As per the Geekbench listings spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma and MySmartPrice, the Oneplus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will come with a chipset codenamed ‘lahaina’. This is the Snapdragon 888 processor, which is expected to not only power the Pro model but also the vanilla OnePlus 9. Additionally, the OnePlus 9 phones will come with 12GB of RAM, which should be the high-end variant. The smartphones will also run on Android 11 out of the box as expected.

OnePlus has teased the OnePlus 9 Pro’s design, revealing a grey colour option and rectangular camera module. The smartphone will come with a quad-camera system and OnePlus has confirmed the setup will include a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide sensor. The other three cameras may include a 48MP IMX789 primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP sensor.
The OnePlus 9 Pro is also tipped to come with a 120Hz QHD+ display. The Geekbench listing has seemingly confirmed the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset and up to 12GB RAM. The 12GB RAM variant could come with 256GB internal storage and the phone may support a 65W fast charging solution. Other features like 5G support, fast wireless charging, stereo speakers, and IP rating are also expected. We expect to learn more about the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in the days to come.
