Shortly after teasing a new N smartphone series in India, OnePlus has revealed it is also launching the Nord 4 wireless earbuds. The company has started teasing the upcoming true wireless earbuds through a “Coming Soon” banner, confirming that the successor to the Nord Buds 3 is set to arrive shortly.
OnePlus has announced the launch with a teaser image showing an early look at the design. The Nord Buds 4 appear to retain the familiar in-ear form factor with stem-style touch controls. The earbuds are shown in a dark silhouette and feature a compact, ergonomic design that suggests a comfortable fit for extended listening sessions.
The Nord Buds 4 will sit below the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro (review), which debuted in India earlier this year at Rs 3,999. While the Pro model focuses on premium features, the standard variant is expected to target budget-conscious buyers looking for a dependable everyday audio companion.
Although OnePlus has yet to reveal the full specifications, we still have an idea of what to expect. The Nord Buds lineup has traditionally prioritised value by offering the essentials at an accessible price. That means the Nord Buds 4 could deliver features such as decent battery life, reliable connectivity, and effective call quality, while skipping some of the flagship extras found on the Pro model.
For comparison, the Nord Buds 4 Pro introduced features such as 55dB Active Noise Cancellation, LHDC 5.0 high-resolution audio support, and 3D spatial audio. The standard Nord Buds 4 could arrive with some of these features or in limited capability and at a significantly lower price point.
If you want advanced ANC and premium audio codecs, the Nord Buds 4 Pro remains the better option. However, if you want an affordable alternative with your needs revolving around music streaming, calls, and daily commuting without stretching your budget, the Nord Buds 4 could emerge as one of the more compelling TWS options in the affordable segment once pricing is announced.
