The Oppo A16 has been launched in Indonesia. It is an entry-level smartphone and comes as a successor to the OPPO A15 that was launched last year. Since the OPPO A16 is an entry-level phone, it doesn’t have any exciting features. However, it does look very elegant for its price, featuring a glossy back panel and a minimalistic design. OPPO A16 price

The OPPO A16 price is IDR 19,99,000 (approximately Rs 10,300) in Indonesia for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. That is the only configuration on offer. The OPPO A16 is available for purchase in Indonesia through major online retail stores. The brand has not revealed any details regarding the availability of the smartphone for markets outside Indonesia. Considering that the company had launched the OPPO A15 smartphone in India, there is a high probability that the brand will launch the OPPO A16 in the Indian market as well. However, there is currently no information regarding the OPPO A16 India launch date.

OPPO A16 specifications

The OPPO A16 has a 6.52-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a V-shaped notch at the top. The brand claims that the screen has 480 nits of brightness. The phone gets a 13MP primary camera at the rear accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP monochrome unit. At the front, there is an 8MP camera.

The OPPO A16 features the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and this chipset is mated to 3GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage. As for the software, the smartphone comes loaded with the Android 11 operating system featuring ColorOS 11.1 customization. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery. The brand has not revealed the charging speed though.

The OPPO A16 connectivity options include support for two SIM cards, 4G cellular network, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS with BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and it features a face unlock feature as well.
