Last month, a Japanese telecom operator, Au, listed an unannounced OPPO smartphone on its website, the OPPO A54 5G. The listing of the device revealed its images and most of its key specifications. While the OPPO A54 5G is yet to launch, its 4G variant was certified by a few certification platforms earlier this month, confirming that the OPPO A54 4G was in the works as well. However, those certification platforms didn’t reveal any information regarding the OPPO A54 4G specifications. Well, the OPPO A54 4G has been certified by the FCC today, as spotted by MySmartPrice. The phone has also been certified by BIS, confirming its imminent India launch.

OPPO A54 4G certified by FCC and BIS
According to previous leaks, the model number of the OPPO A54 4G is speculated to be CPH2239. And this is the very model that was certified by FCC today.
According to FCC, the OPPO A54 4G has a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging. The certification reveals that the OPPO A54 4G will come with Android 11 OS featuring ColorOS v7.2 customization. According to the certification, the OPPO A54 4G measures 163.6×75.7×8.4mm and weighs 192 grams. This is all the information the FCC certification of the device reveals.
As for the BIS certification spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, it doesn’t reveal any information about the device. However, it does confirm that the OPPO A54 4G will launch in India. Unfortunately, there is currently no information regarding the launch date of the device.
OPPO A54 4G expected specifications
The Oppo A54 4G could feature the same specifications as the OPPO A54 5G, albeit with a different chipset. According to the listing of the Oppo A54 5G on Au, it is powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G SoC, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone has a 6.5-inch LCD with 2400×1800 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It features a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and two 2MP sensors. The front-facing camera is a 16MP unit. The Japanese telecom operator reveals that the phone will come in Fantastic Purple and Silver Black color variants and that it will launch in June. Stay tuned to know more about the OPPO A54 4G.
