“The A57’s front camera features Beautify 4.0 and Bokeh effect”

After launching the upgraded F1s (review) selfie-centric smartphone in India in November last, OPPO has today added yet another device to its portfolio in the country. The brand’s new selfie-centric offering is called the OPPO A57, and features an impressive 16-megapixel front-facing shooter with Beautify 4.0 and Bokeh effect. Similar to the F1s, the A57 also boasts a premium metal unibody design and a fingerprint sensor that’s integrated within its home button.

As far as the rear camera is concerned, the OPPO A57 features a 13-megapixel snapper, mated to a CMOS sensor, phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. The phone gets a 5.2-inch HD display with a layer of 2.5D glass on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, mated to 3GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 32GB, further expandable up to 256GB.

The OPPO A57’s connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS. Software-wise, the handset boots the brand’s ColorOS 3.0, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There’s no word on if and when the phone will be getting the Android Nougat update. A 2,900mAh battery completes the list of the specs.

The OPPO A57 has been priced at Rs 14,990, and will be available via major brick-and-mortar stores across the country and on e-tailers like Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart starting February 3rd.
