POCO C61 India launch date revealed

The new POCO phone will debut in the country on March 26th at 12 PM IST.
The company also confirmed the phone will be available via Flipkart online and there is a dedicated microsite, which reveals some key hardware details.

There are speculations the phone will be a rebrand of the Redmi A3, which launched in India recently.
The official teasers from the brand hint at a large circular camera module on the back panel, similar to the Redmi model.
Flipkart microsite confirms the POCO C61 will come with a 90Hz HD+ display, 6GB RAM and an additional 6GB virtual RAM for better multitasking.
The POCO phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery.
The teasers show the handset will be offered in Black colour besides other options.

The POCO C61 was recently spotted on the Google Play Console listing and this revealed it would come with MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, Android 14 OS, 4GB RAM and an HD+ display. The placeholder on the Google Play Console listing showed a punch-hole cutout while the Redmi A3 features a waterdrop notch. This means the render on the listing could be incorrect.

Here’s a quick recall of the Redmi A3 specifications considering it will be rebranded as POCO C61.

Display: 6.7-inch HD display with 1650 x 720 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.
Processor: MediaTek Helio G36 processor paired with Mali GPU.
RAM and storage: It comes in three storage options 3GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB. You also get an SD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.
Cameras: Redmi A3 sports an 8MP dual AI camera at the back. There could be a 5MP front camera.
Battery, charging: The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support via a USB Type-C port.
