It’s been a busy month for smartphone launches. In India, we saw a total of four new phones launch just this week alone. The list includes mid-range phones like the POCO X6 Neo 5G and iQOO Z9 5G. Then on a slightly higher price point, we have the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, Galaxy A35 5G
- Display: Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness.
- Chipset: The Galaxy A55 5G is powered by the in-house Exynos 1480 processor, while the Galaxy A35 5G comes with the Exynos 1380 chipset.
- RAM and storage: You get up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage with the Galaxy A55 5G, and up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with the Galaxy A35 5G.
- Cameras: On the Galaxy A55 5G, there’s a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. It’s the same setup on the Galaxy A35 5G except for the 8MP ultra-wide lens.
- Battery, charging: Both phones pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
- Software: On the software front, both phones run Android 14 with One UI 6.1
- Price: Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is priced at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant, Rs 42,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and Rs 45,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Samsung Galaxy A35 5G comes in two variants of 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB priced at Rs 30,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively.
POCO X6 Neo 5G
- Display: POCO X6 Neo 5G has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of peak brightness.
- Chipset: Under the hood of the 5G smartphone runs the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset.
- RAM and storage: The smartphone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
- Cameras: It features a 108MP main primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back. For selfies, you get a 16MP front camera on the POCO X6 Neo.
- Battery, charging: The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery paired with 33W fast charging support.
- Software: It runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out-of-the-box.
- Price: POCO X6 Neo 5G is priced at Rs 15,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 17,999.
iQOO Z9 5G
- Display: iQOO Z9 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,800 nits peak brightness.
- Chipset: This 5G phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC paired with Mali-G610 GPU.
- RAM and storage: The phone comes with 8GB of RAM along with 128GB or 256GB storage options.
- Cameras: The iQOO Z9 houses a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS, and a 2MP bokeh camera. You also get a 16MP front camera for selfies.
- Battery, charging: The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
- Software: It runs Android 14-based Funtouch 14 custom skin out-of-the-box.
- Price: iQOO Z9 5G is priced at Rs 19,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and Rs 21,999 for the 8GB + 256B variant.
