POCO C85x 5G has launched in India as the latest phone in POCO’s budget C-series. The device brings a large battery and a big display to the entry-level 5G segment, with prices starting at Rs 10,999.
The base 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 10,999, while the 4GB + 128GB model costs Rs 11,999. The phone will go on sale on March 14th at 12 noon via Flipkart. Buyers can pick between Black, Gold and Green colour options.
The phone is powered by the Unisoc T8300 processor with a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz. It comes with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB storage, with microSD expansion support up to 2TB. On the software side, it runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
Up front, the POCO C85x 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel supports up to 800 nits peak brightness and includes TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing and circadian-friendly display settings. The phone carries a dual rear camera setup led by a 32MP main sensor. POCO has not shared details about the secondary camera. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery capacity is one of the selling points POCO is pitching for this phone. The POCO C85x 5G packs a 6,300mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging. It also supports 7.5W reverse wired charging, which allows it to charge other devices. The phone comes with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. Other features include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C and a fingerprint sensor for security.
Phones in this price bracket usually focus on large screens and battery life rather than performance, and the POCO C85x follows a similar strategy. Devices such as the Redmi 15C 5G target a similar audience in the budget segment. The POCO C85x 5G looks aimed at everyday use like messaging, streaming and social media, where battery life and screen size matter more than power. Those looking for stronger gaming performance may want to look at phones with more capable chipsets in the same price range.
