The POCO X5 Pro India launch date has been officially announced by the company, days after it revealed by a teaser in movie theatres during the screening of Pathaan. he POCO X5 Pro will arrive as a successor to the POCO X4 Pro from last year and will have 5G network support. Speculations are rife that the handset will be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition that was introduced in China recently.

There is a dedicated microsite on Flipkart and the POCO website, which revealed some key specifications, such as the chipset and 545K+ AnTuTu benchmark score. The POCO X5 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, which is a good choice in the budget segment.

The POCO X5 Pro price in India is said to be in the range of Rs 21,000 and Rs 23,000, excluding any bank offers. The phone will be available in three models: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB model.

POCO X5 Pro specifications

The POCO X5 Pro is expected to flaunt a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED panel with 1080×2400 pixels resolution, up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics and gaming needs. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card.

The POCO X5 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, Hi-Res audio, and an IR blaster.

As for the cameras, the POCO X5 Pro will have a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
