PS5 specifications

Sony has launched two versions of the new console, the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition. Both of them feature octa-core CPU based on Zen 2 architecture to run at 10.28 TFLOPS and an AMD RDNA 2 GPU. The consoles come with 16GB GDDR6 RAM and 825GB of internal storage.

Both PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition support storage expansion using compatible PS5 SSDs. The only difference between PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition is that PS5 comes with a Blu-Ray disc drive, while PS5 Digital Edition doesn’t. Since PS5 is backward compatible, many PS4 games can be played on PS5.
