Redmi 9A India variant will likely be similar to the model that was launched in Malaysia. Going by the teasers on Mi.com, the Redmi 9A will come with a waterdrop display, a large battery, strong performance, and decent cameras.
To recall, the Redmi 9A that is available in Malaysia comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ (1600×720) LCD display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset. The phone is offered with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, but it will be interesting to see whether the Indian variant comes with a higher RAM and storage configuration.
The Redmi 9A gets a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP selfie camera. The phone can hold two SIM cards and a microSD card. The entry-level phone does not feature a fingerprint sensor. The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery and runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11.
Xiaomi will announce the Redmi 9A India price on September 2nd. The phone RM 359 (approx Rs 6,300) in Malaysia and we expect similar pricing in India. In terms of hierarchy, the Redmi 9A will slot below the Redmi 9.
