Redmi Note 10S price in India has been slashed by up to Rs 2,000 after being launched way back in 2021. The latest price slash brings the cost of the phone down to Rs 12,999, which makes it a good purchasing option in the segment. The handset comes with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout, a large 5000mAh battery and a gaming chipset from MediaTek. The new price is already reflected on Amazon. Redmi Note 10S price in India is now Rs 12,999 for the 6GB/64GB storage model while the 6GB/128GB model costs Rs 14,999. Lastly, the 8GB/128GB model is now available at Rs 16,498. In addition to the price cut, Amazon is offering a Rs 500 price discount via coupon and a 10 percent instant discount of up to Rs 1250 through ICICI Bank Credit card EMI transactions.

Is the device worth it in 2022?

Redmi Note 10S is a year-old device now. While it wouldn’t have been a problem if it were a flagship, but since it’s a budget offering, we believe it might not be a worthy option to consider. This is considering the phone has already received its one major Android update, the Android 12 OS and it doesn’t look like the phone will get another update. Also, the chipset is a bit old and might handle day-to-day tasks if you’re planning to keep it for 2-3 years.

The Redmi Note 10S sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 700 nits brightness, 1,100 nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 custom skin out of the box.

There is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options include two SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE and VoWiFi, dual-band Wi-FI ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, Infrared port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. It is equipped with stereo speakers and an IP53 rating.
