Reliance Industries Limited at its AGM (Annual General Meeting) today announced the launch date for the Jio AirFiber. The 5G hotspot device was announced at last year’s AGM but its availability and price details weren’t revealed.
Jio AirFiber India launch date
At the AGM 2023 event, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani revealed that the Jio AirFiber will launch in India on September 19th. Jio AirFiber will most likely be available in Reliance retail outlets when it’s launched. Pricing for the Jio AirFiber hasn’t been revealed yet but leaks suggest it will cost 20 percent lesser than competition, and it could also be priced at Rs 6,000.
Jio AirFiber features
- Jio Air Fiber is a wireless 5G hotspot that can be set up at home or office. You can simply plug it in for fiber-like high broadband speeds.
- At the AGM 2022, Jio demonstrated the AiFiber will be able to let users stream multiple camera angles of a sporting event simultaneously in high definition.
- It also said that through Jio AirFiber, users will be able to opt for a virtual PC hosted on the cloud called ‘Jio Cloud PC’.
