"Samsung will supposedly announce 9 new Galaxy A series smartphones in 2019"
While we are all eagerly waiting for Samsung to announce the Galaxy S10, the Korean giant is working on a range of new Galaxy A series phones as well. There have been several reports and leaks that suggested Samsung's plan for 2019. The company will be launching up to nine Galaxy A series smartphones this year, as per a recent report. We have already come across some of them, namely, Galaxy A50, Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A90. Now, another model has appeared on the benchmarking site Geekbench.
A new Samsung device with the model number SM-A405FN has appeared on Geekbench. Last month, the Galaxy A50 was also spotted with a similar model number on the benchmarking site. This confirms that the new device is part of the A series and will most likely be called the Galaxy A40.
Going by the listing of the Galaxy A40, this variant will feature the Samsung made Exynos 7885 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone will also be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system. We can expect this device to feature a display notch and a traditional fingerprint scanner at the back. Previous reports had suggested that the Galaxy A50, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A90 will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Some Galaxy A models in the series are also said to get a 3D TOF camera.
The new Galaxy A40 will reportedly be making its way to several European regions, including the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Netherlands, Scandinavia, and several other regions. Samsung will most likely release the A series smartphones after the launch of the Galaxy S10. For now, this is all we have on the Galaxy A40, but more should be revealed in the coming weeks, but it seems 2019 will be another good year for smartphone lovers and we can expect mid-range devices to get even better.
