Samsung Galaxy A42 5G key specifications appear on Geekbench and Safety Korea

While the 'Lito' motherboard suggests a Snapdragon 765G chipset, tipster Mukul Sharma says the GPU resonates with the Snapdragon 690 5G chipset, which would make sense considering the Galaxy A42 is supposed to be an affordable 5G phone. Notably, OnePlus is also reported to be working on a mid-range phone powered by the Snapdragon 690 SoC. 

The Safety Korea certification confirms the Samsung Galaxy A42 will pack a 5,000mAh battery, something that was previously suggested on the 3C certification as well.  The phone may have fast-charging support, but we cannot say this for sure right now.

Earlier reports suggested the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will come with 128GB storage and will be available in White, Grey, and Black colours. The phone will also be available in 4G LTE variant in markets where 5G isn't available. The phone may have an AMOLED display, at least 64GB internal storage, quad-camera setup and a single front camera arranged in either a punch-hole cutout or a waterdrop notch.
