Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro gets another price drop, now available for Rs 29,900

Samsung launched the Galaxy C9 Pro phablet in India in February for Rs 36,900. However, in June, the company permanently dropped the phone’s price by Rs 5,000, and started selling it for Rs 31,900. Now the brand has announced yet another price drop of Rs 2,000 on the Galaxy C9 Pro. The phone is now available at the reduced price tag of Rs 29,900 on the company’s e-store, major e-commerce portals and via major brick-and-mortar stores across the country.

For the uninitiated, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro (review) was launched as the brand’s first smartphone to boast a beefy 6GB of RAM. The phone flaunts a premium metal unibody frame and a split antenna band design. The device gets a fingerprint sensor, which is integrated into its home button. The Galaxy C9 Pro gets a large 6-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, and boots Android Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI on top.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, mated to Adreno 510 graphics and 6GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 64GB, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card. At the rear, the device offers a 16MP snapper with a dual-LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. For selfies, it has been equipped with the same 16MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture, but misses out on a selfie flash unit.

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro offers 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. The phone is fuelled by a beefy 4,000mAh battery. Despite having a large power cell, the device measures just 6.9mm around the waist.
