Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to launch in August, reports WSJ

“The Galaxy Note 5 will offer a 5.67-inch 2K display, a 64-bit processor, and Android Lollipop”

Every year at IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, Samsung introduces a Galaxy Note series flagship, and so far has released four devices. But this year, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the company will introduce the new Galaxy Note a few weeks early in mid-August.

As per the report, launching the Galaxy Note 5 sooner will give the brand more time to ramp up sales of the device. In addition, the brand wants to avoid competition from the upcoming Apple iPhone, which will be releasing in September. A person familiar to the matter revealed to the publication that Samsung is launching the Note 5 early, as it seeks to revive sales after facing a sluggish second quarter.
